Spit, don't swallow...

Normally I see Buzznet as likened to syphilis: I stay AWAY from it.
But this morning, boredom at work made me wander in (in lurk, of course) to see what the kiddies were saying.

I nearly blew chunks when I came across this:

To see what I'm bitching about, scroll 2/3 of the way down the page, and look for the post by
voluptuosity at 7:24 PM on 09/11/2007.

If this is how you feel, Mr. Don't-Get-In-My-WAY, I think you're in the wroooooong business. Then again, perhaps your feelings have changed, given how you've been strutting your stuff around this summer.

What happened to the paranoid, lonely misfit of a boy who wanted to tell the world that it's okay to not fit in? I liked him a lot better than the arrogant, self-righteous primadonna that showed up for the PR tour. Or maybe it's my own stupidity for believing in your message in the first place.

At the risk of alienating some musician friends, I have to say that in all 19 years I've been seeing bands, Gerard Way is the most talented musician I've ever heard. I've listened to all three CD's rabidly, and drained my iPod battery countless times from My Chem overload. I wasn't able to see the band when they played in my city (sometimes having a life really sucks!), but I looked forward to catching them on tour later in the year at a city south of the border.

Like half the continent, I tuned in to the live MySpace stream on August 22. I expected to see the band I loved. And I did see that band, except for the frontman. The man I respected was nowhere to be seen that day. Or for most of Projekt Revolution, as it turned out.

To see THAT much talent being wasted on cheap displays of "wanna get with this?" is fucking physically painful.
If I wanted to see a rockstar playing with his cock, pitching a hissy-fit to his guitarist and singing off-key, I know a number of people who'd gladly perform it all in a private show.

Mr. Way can fuck or marry whoever he wants -- I don't care about the whole Lyn-Z fiasco. If he wants to jack off until he goes blind or hold 'lengthy' conversations with his dick, he has every right do so. However, nobody should have to pay an admittance fee to see it.

News flash, Mr. Way: Remember the 1980's? The country was full of rock stars who all did the same things you're doing. Where are any of them now? Do you really want to be remembered like Vince "I-Ate-All-The-Burritos" Neil or Axl "I'm-Gonna-Cry-If-You-Take-My-Picture" Rose?

Just thinking about it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Enough with babblin' about your amazing girlfriend & playing with your dick.
Next thing you know, you'll be into groupies. Yeesh.

Don't pick on Vince, Sister Midnite, he can't help he was destined to be a doughboy. Next you'll be talkin' bout Jon Bone Jovi.

I would have picked on Sebastian Bitch, but he's too boring to think about. Haven't been at the Sludge site for some time, or I would have found somebody else to besmirch.

So all of this is what's happening now at the buzznet threads? I'm glad I don't visit there that much anymore.

I go on Buzznet quite alot, and I agree with you, everyones seperated them selves into two groups, but then there's some people who don't know which side to stand on, so their in the middle and their emotions and thoughts are all over the place. This is what Gerard has done. After handling himself on stage, picking fights with old Frankie - He's changed. I'd really like to say for the better, but I'd be lying. He needs to clear himself up right now, snap out of it and take his head out of that ass of his. The thing I am wondering is hasn't anyone said anything to him about his behaviour? Or maybe he's just not listening? Who knows anymore, he's too busy pratting around with his dick or fucking around with that wife of his. I hope he sorts his act out soon, I REALLY do.

Awwwww, I used to loooovvvveeee Sebastian. Now, that is 100% Diva. And who can forget David Lee Roth?I bet he could teach Gerard a thing or two about prancing on stage and feather boas.

New anonymous, if anybody has tried talking to him he's obviously not listening. If I could be Frankie or Toro for a day, I'd smack him so hard his teeth would fall out.

Bleeding Chaos, the quotes are older ones, from the Bullets or Revenge era. For someone who says he doesn't like people, he sure doesn't act like it.

Smoke&Venom20, you nailed it when you called Sebastian a diva. You should see how bitchy he gets when a woman turns him down. :)
David Lee Roth... yes, he was fun to watch. And he could teach Gerard a thing or two about arrogance, as well.

Hey, I got on that 'sludge' site you were talking about last night. I almost fell out of my chair laughing!!! OMG!!! That thing is hilarious. I had almost forgot about some of those folks. Like, Tom Keifer? Biggest damn lips I've ever seen. And they called Jon Bon Jovi a slut. That was too funny since now he tries to act like he's freakin' untouchable.

Sludge is always good for a laugh. Especially Donna-Do-You-Wanna's pages. The way Gerard's goin', he'll be on there within the year.

JBJ was a bad boy for a lot of years. At least he grew up some, though -- most of those guys are still at it.

Axl "I'm-Gonna-Cry-If-You-Take-My-Picture" Rose?

Nice.

I stay away from Buzznet 'cause the one time I hit it, it jacked my computer with every adware under the sun and a virus or five. But I absolutely agree with that poster, I'm sorry to say. That's just what Gerard turned into.

I've heard tons of junk about "voluptuousity" but it's usually that she's a rabid Gerard fangirl who thinks that everyone who says anything bad about him should be shot in the kneecaps or something. What am I missing?

Oh oh oh, I get it! That wasn't a buzznet poster that you were quoting, those were your thoughts on recent turn of events. Yes, that's what I'm agreeing with, the stuff you said.

*sigh* don't mind me, really.

What made me so ill about the Buzznet post is the blind faith. I hate that shit. Being a rock star does NOT entitle anybody to act like an asshole and get away with it.
I've sparred with people for a lot less. :)

I agree fully. And it'd be a shame to watch Mr. G-Way go the same path as those pathetic rockers you named just because everyone in the world enabled him. Because at the bottom of it all MCR is a great band and he is a talented dude. And troubled or not, I still--still--think he's probably got a very sweet heart.

Life can only be confusing when thousands of people are cheering you on for puking on stage. It can make you lose, uhh, perspective I would imagine.

Sis Midnite (original blog) said...

I think he's got just enough sweetness and just enough arrogance for the combination to be dangerous. I'm still hoping he'll wake up & grab control before he gets himself dug in any deeper, but I don't know... so many people are enabling him that he seems to believe it's okay to be a joke. If the rumors are true that he won't even listen to the other guys in the band, then he's *really* in trouble.

I really think you need to go out with your best bud and have a few drinks and forget about this looser for a while lol
